Participate in our Tree-Plenish event
April 24, 2021
Sign up for Free saplings!
We are so excited to be partnering with the organization Tree-plenish to host a tree-planting event April 24, 2021. The goal is to offset and replenish the use of paper from the previous year in the Jamestown Schools by planting trees.
Trees are saplings (about 2’ tall) and are free. There are two types available – a Red Maple or an Eastern Redbud. The Town of Jamestown and residents can sign up to receive these free trees. Trees can be planted for you free of charge as well.
CISF’s Eco-Club has been the driving force behind this project, working hard this fall to raise money for the event. Thanks to their hard work, with generous donations at our Coastal Clean up in November, and a subsequent donation completing our fundraising goal, we are able to offer 100 FREE trees to Jamestown residents to be delivered and planted for you on the day of the event! All trees planted will go towards replenishing the amount of paper used by the Jamestown schools in the last school year.
100 trees = 1 million sheets of paper replenished!
If you are interested in having a tree planted on your property in April, head to the website below to reserve your tree(s)! Trees will be saplings – 2 feet tall. You can order either a Red Maple, Eastern Redbud, or both, and as many as you’d like! Help us create a more sustainable and beautiful Jamestown!
