The Conanicut Island Sailing Foundation provides scholarships!

Conanicut Island Sailing Foundation, a tax exempt, charitable organization has been established to provide & promote marine access, marine education, and sailing to people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. In doing so, CISF aims to develop the next generation of ocean and environmental stewards, as well as bring more people into the sport of sailing. CISF, a 501 (C) (3) corporation, raises funds through 100% tax-deductible donations. The Foundation solicits and accepts cash, securities and boats to be sold and leased. Scholarships are distributed based on the needs of the applicant.

APPLICATIONS ARE DUE MAY 1st and NOVEMBER 1st. LATE APPLICATIONS ARE NOT ACCEPTED FOR ANY REASON.

IF AWARDED A GRANT, APPLICANTS MUST ACCEPT OR DENY THE GRANT WITHIN 30 DAYS FROM DATE OF GRANT RECEIPT E-MAIL OR LETTER.

ADDITIONALLY, YOU WILL BE ASKED TO SEND US AN EXPENSE REPORT ACCOUNTING FOR THE USE OF THE GRANT, AND A SHORT WRITE-UP ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE. ALL GRANTEES ARE ASKED TO VOLUNTEER AT CISF’S ANNUAL FUNDRAISER. (RECEIVING A GRANT FROM CISF IS PRIVATE INFORMATION THAT WILL NOT BE SHARED OUTSIDE OF THE CISF BOARD OF DIRECTORS.)
